Meet Dr. Saad Saad: He’s a well-respected, retired pediatric surgeon who has saved children’s lives patented two inventions and provided medical training and advice to other doctors in the U.S. and other nations.

For retired physician and pediatric surgeon, Dr. Saad Saad has worked over many years to improve existing procedures and methods. Dr. Saad Saad has continuously challenged the current state of medical practice to find ways to reduce the risk that his patients have dealt with at times.


Because of Dr. Saad Saad’s drive to innovate in the medical milieu, Saad has hatched many new pediatric surgical procedures and patented two of his inventions. For 40 plus years, he has performed complicated pediatric surgeries on young patients (infants to teens) both inside and outside of his maim practice located in New Jersey.


Dr. Saad Saad was born in Palestine toward the end of the 1940s. That region of the world at that time had undergone some dramatic changes. The founding of the nation of Israel forced many Palestinians to relocate. The Palestinians were part of this land that Israel claimed in 1948 as their own. Dr. Saad Saad remarked that his mother was made to travel by bus to an unknown place Saad and his siblings.


Sadly, Saad Saad and his parents never saw their house again, once they were forced to relocate to the West Bank. Dr. Saad Sadd also mentioned how stressful his father was after having to search for his family after many hours. Dr. Saad Saad’s father had to go to extreme measures to pay the owner of a boat a large sum of money to travel in the right direction to see his family.


Saad’s father was a mechanic in the petroleum industry. Saad’s dad had picked a good career at a point when oil was being discovered in Arab states. Because of this oil boom, Dr. Saad Saad’s dad had high paying skills were needed, so Saad’s dad was agreed to move from Kuwait to the West Bank.


Dr. Saad Saad’s father helped put some critical thoughts in the mind of young Saad. His dad’s advice was a valuable lesson that would stick with Saad Saad for his whole life. Saad’s father told him that Saad would be admired if he focused on getting an education. Saad was given a medical degree from Cairo University’s School of Medicine in 1971. By graduating second in his class at Cairo University, he was allowed to provide the commencement speech to his graduating class. Saad is the only bi-lingual surgeon who was both fluent in Arabic and English. Saad’s skilled work had gotten the attention of influential Palestinians, and he worked in Saudi Arabia for many years.
