No Rival For The Success Of The Illustrious Anthony Petrello

Anthony Petrello demonstrates, quite clearly, a life of unrivaled success. He is the distinguished CEO of Nabors Industries. His life is representative of a person who continually “steps up to the plate,” quite readily, to meet challenges.

Anthony Petrello began his successful life journey, in the way of exceptional academic performance. Most persons are beleaguered in attaining one degree; and more so, when meeting the expectations of two–however, during his young life Anthony Petrello attained two degrees in Mathematics, at one of the foremost Universities–in the nation.

He attained the two degrees in Mathematics from the exceptional Ivy League School of Yale University. He earned a B.S. Degree in Mathematics; and an M.S. Degree in Mathematics.

Once his mathematical “academics,” were completed; Anthony Petrello, easily matriculated to the prestigious college of Harvard Law School. Here: Anthony Petrello, quite effortlessly, earned his J.D.

Harvard Law School afforded Anthony Petrello, the “grounding” experience of not only learning law; but, also adding to his capacity, in the way of thinking like a leader. He already supplied, much, in the way of motivation and vision: two exceptional traits.

Anthony Petrello, with his determined spirit, made his way to the higly-acclaimed, international law firm: Baker McKenzie. Baker McKenzie, during Petrello’s tenure, at the firm, was known as Baker & McKenzie. Since the time, the well-respected firm has re-branded itself–a bit–to keep up with the evolution of time. At Baker McKenzie, Anthony Petrello eventually assumed the post of Managing Partner.

He looked in different directions: as most amazing leaders, generally do: and found another very favorable and fortunate venue in Nabors Industries. The offshore and onshore well drilling specialist was certainly the “calling” of Mr. Petrello. Such a leadership role: in way of working for a foremost well-drilling servicer and equipment manufacturer, seemed “quite up the alley-way,” of the highly respected leader: Petrello. He was a genius in Math, already, and the fact he understood regulations and the law–as it pertained to international law, did not “hurt, either.” Suffice it to say: Anthony Petrello, was the perfect leadership fit–as it pertained to the well-revered Nabors Industries.

Anthony Petrello made the “heady” transition from that of Managing Partner, at one of the foremost law firms in the nation, to a major oil well-drilling company, generally-speaking, most effortlessly. True to Petrello fashion, challenge has always meant: opportunity.

Is Anthony Petrello an inspiration to us all? A person would be “reckless” to think otherwise. It is Mr. Petrello’s admirable “grit and spirit” that provide inspiration to the industry he serves as leader..

His communication skill, on a global basis, is not lacking, either. In his role, as CEO of Nabors Industries, he is continually in contact, with leaders, the world-over.

Lori Senecal’s Insights On Branding Strategies Learn From Wayward Celebrities

Celebrities like Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse have continuously earned a hyper-analyzed and web-immortalized media moments each time they embarked on normal activities like shopping, buying coffee or pushing a baby carriage. Their ability to attract such a massive attention on simple acts has been enhanced by effective branding strategies. Despite their series of embarrassments, the endangered work product that is responsible for their fame, hospitalization and even death, they still appear on covers of most prominent magazines and secure jobs as brand ambassadors. Lori Senecal, in her article posted on Forbes, outlined a number of lessons brands can learn from these celebrities.

Hiring the best stylist is the first strategy to winning more market share, especially the consumer brands. For instance, Heineken Premium Light dominated the beer market as soon as it was introduced to the market due to its chic and stylish look. Looking at today’s celebrities, most of them have a broad talent profile where they serve as actors and producers/directors/ online entrepreneurs. Brands can adopt this strategy to expand their market reach. For example, play stations like Xbox are playing movies.

While illustrating Nike and Apple’s Nike+ partnership, Lori said that being caught with another hot brand is an effective strategy that helped Nike+ to win a Grand Prix at Cannes. The trend is now spreading widely, particularly in fashion brands like Adidas with Stella McCartney. Developing an icon like one-bite-Apple logo, the bull’s eye of the Target, Amy Winehouse the crazy beehive and Pamela Anderson, gives brands unmistakable visual identities. Top brands can also compliment their position as leading players by finding a symbol or icon that represents their brands.
